Our history
Chata pod Ostrým vrchom
Chata pod Ostrým vrchom is a mountain lodge near Trenčín, ideal for relaxing in nature, hiking, cycling and family stays. Construction began on 18 July 1942, commissioned by the town of Trenčín and designed by builder Alexander Maráky. The lodge opened on 1 July 1944, together with a 1,100-metre access road from the ranger’s lodge. Over the years it has welcomed many lodge keepers and served hikers and skiers in both summer and winter.
The lodge was closed in 2006 and underwent a complete reconstruction and extension from 2016.
